SEND Specialist Teacher

Yorkshire and Humber/ contract / £150 - 200 per day

Teacher Active is proud to be working with a specialist SEND school in Wakefield supporting children and young people with Complex Needs and Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties / PMLD. The school provides a supportive and inclusive environment focused on helping every pupil develop their independence, confidence and individual abilities.

The school is looking to take on a SEND Specialist Teacher on a short-term or long-term basis, starting ASAP. The successful SEND Specialist Teacher will support pupils with Complex Needs and PMLD, adapting lessons to individual learning needs while creating a safe, engaging and inclusive classroom environment.

• QTS
• Experience teaching or supporting children and young people with Complex Needs and PMLD
• Experience adapting lessons and activities to meet individual learning needs
• Strong classroom management skills
• A patient, resilient and adaptable approach
• A passion for supporting children and young people with additional needs
