Year 6 Teacher

About the role:

Justteachers are working with vibrant and inclusive primary school in Wakefield to appoint committed and enthusiastic Year 6 Class Teacher to start in September 2026 on a full-time and long-term basis.

This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact during a pivotal stage in pupils' education. The school provides a nurturing and forward-thinking environment where children are encouraged to thrive both academically and socially. Staff work collaboratively to deliver a broad and engaging curriculum, supported by strong leadership and a welcoming community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality lessons that support academic progress and personal development
• Prepare pupils for their transition to secondary school, including SATs readiness
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom culture
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning across the school

• Strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum and assessment frameworks
• Passionate about education and committed to pupil success
• Skilled in building positive relationships with pupils, families, and staff
