The Role

As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant
, you will play a vital role across the school, supporting teaching and learning from EYFS through to Key Stage 2. This is a varied position that offers the opportunity to lead learning, support pupil progress, and work alongside an experienced and collaborative teaching team.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Delivering pre-planned lessons across EYFS, KS1 and KS2
Providing high-quality PPA cover when required
Leading small-group and one-to-one intervention programmes
Supporting teachers with planning, preparation and assessment
Adapting learning activities to meet individual pupil needs
Supporting pupils with SEND and additional learning needs
Promoting positive behaviour and engagement in learning
Helping to create a safe, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment
Building positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents

What We're Looking For

To be successful in this role, you will have:

A recognised HLTA qualification or substantial equivalent experience
Recent experience working within a UK primary school setting
Confidence delivering lessons independently across primary year groups
Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
Experience supporting children with SEND
Excellent communication and organisational skills
A proactive, flexible and reliable approach
A genuine passion for supporting children's academic, social and emotional development
