We are seeking an enthusiastic and talented Music Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Wakefield from January 2027. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator to inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4, fostering creativity, confidence, and a lifelong appreciation of music.

The successful candidate will join a supportive and ambitious school community where the arts are valued and students are encouraged to develop their musical talents both in and out of the classroom.

The Role

As a Music Teacher, you will:

Deliver engaging and inspiring Music lessons across KS3 and KS4.
Plan, prepare, and assess high-quality learning experiences that promote student progress.
Develop students' practical, theoretical, and performance skills.
Encourage participation in extracurricular music activities, performances, and productions.
Create a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students can thrive.
Contribute to the continued development of the Music curriculum and department.

We Are Looking For Someone Who:

Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
Has experience teaching Music at secondary school level.
Demonstrates strong subject knowledge and a passion for music education.
Can inspire and motivate students of all abilities.
Has excellent classroom management and communication skills.
Is committed to achieving the best possible outcomes for every student.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
