Our Mathematics Department consists of eight teachers and two one-to-one tutors. The Department is a combination of experienced staff and more recent entrants to the profession, and is given strategic direction by supportive and determined leaders. We have the benefit of support from the Trust's team of expert Maths Directors who provide support, materials, advice, coaching and who model and team-teach in lessons alongside us to develop our expertise.

The Department has created a rich and engaging curriculum which has deep roots in teaching for understanding. Our curriculum is differentiated by depth, ensuring all students build firm foundations, develop confidence and retain their learning.

The One to One Tutor will deliver intervention programmes to individuals , working with department staff to prepare and implement appropriate learning experiences. A core duty is to assist in developing suitable intervention material, lesson plans, and resources.

You will be responsible for reporting on individual pupil progress and regularly liaising with the Head of Department and teachers to provide feedback. Furthermore, you will support exam revision sessions and must comply with Child Safeguarding Procedures at all times.

We require a Graduate in a related subject or an AS/A2 level in a relevant subject or be a qualified teacher. You must possess excellent communication and listening skills, alongside strong time management and organisational skills.

Essential abilities include supporting students with science work up to GCSE level and having a working knowledge of standard computer packages. Experience of working in a school environment is desirable.
