Mon–Thurs 8:00–16:30, Fri 8:00–15:15

A leading precision engineering company in Wakefield is seeking skilled Mechanical Fitters to join their team on a permanent basis.

This role offers the chance to work on special purpose machinery, assembling and installing equipment to the highest quality and safety standards.

The Role

Assemble and fit machinery from detailed engineering drawings.

Install machinery at customer sites when required.

Operate hand tools, lifting equipment, and workshop machinery.

Conduct risk assessments and follow strict HSE procedures.

Collaborate with client technical teams during installation.

Contribute to process improvements and innovation.

About You

HNC (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering.

Proven experience in mechanical assembly, ideally with some electrical/pneumatic knowledge.

Strong understanding of engineering drawings and machine safety.

Excellent communication skills and confidence in customer-facing situations.

Flexibility to travel when needed.
