Job DescriptionWe seek an enthusiastic individual to provide practical and technical support for environmental consultancy projects on commercial, industrial, municipal wastewater and sludge processing projects.
Responsibilities- Provide practical and technical support on environmental consultancy projects for wastewater and sludge processing.
- Operational and Commissioning Support – offer on‑site and desk‑based technical process assistance for operational, commissioning, and process consultancy projects as required.
- Project Management – manage all aspects of assigned projects, including proposal development, RAMS creation, resource and time management, contractor coordination, client relationships, and financial oversight.
- Support the QHSE manager in developing, implementing, and continually improving standard procedures and quality systems.
- Business Development – build and maintain a network of existing and new clients, managing relationships to support business growth strategies.
The ideal candidate has a degree in a relevant field and at least two years of relevant industry experience. The role combines field, office, and laboratory work, including sample collection, data analysis, scientific report development, and client presentation.
Essential Skills and Experience- Full clean driver’s licence and access to a personal vehicle.
- BSc or BEng (minimum) in a relevant field.
- Strong theoretical knowledge in water/wastewater chemistry, microbiology, and engineering.
- Practical experience working on industrial or water utility sites.
- Project management experience.
- Strong communication skills, coordinating with various teams and line managers.
- Confidence in presenting ideas to clients and teams via meetings and presentations.
- Awareness of H&S requirements for site work (RAMS, permits, inductions).
- Previous customer‑facing experience in a professional setting.
- Experience developing SOPs.
- Understanding of site engineering, including pumps, mixers, aeration systems and their mechanical function and control philosophies.
- Experience developing and undertaking laboratory methods.
- Excellent report writing skills.
- Business development skills.
