Site Engineer (Quality) – National Highways SDF | Wakefield

• Assist in producing and managing site documentation including ITPs, CPPs, RAMS reviews, permits and material approvals.
• Support commercial teams with take‑offs and Early Warning Notices (EWNs).
• Liaise with Principal Designers during Early Contractor Involvement (ECI).
• Assist Agents with programming and delivery of schemes.
• Manage and coordinate subcontractors on site under the direction of Agents or Project Managers.
• Submit Technical Queries (TQs) and Requests for Information (RFIs) using CEMAR.
• Ensure scheme documentation is completed and closed out accurately.
• Use AutoCAD for site layouts and mark‑ups.
• Maintain comprehensive digital records using MS Office Suite.

The ideal candidate will have experience within highways or civil infrastructure projects, with a strong understanding of quality assurance and documentation management. They will be commercially aware, technically capable and confident in collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

• Experience working on highways or civil infrastructure schemes.

• Essential: HNC/HND in Construction and the Built Environment (Civils Pathway).
• Desirable:
  Degree‑level qualification in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Desirable: CSCS card and SMSTS – full support will be provided to obtain relevant site‑based competencies if required.

  Up to £35,000 per annum (dependent on experience).
