Overview

Join our Section 38 and 278 Team as a Principal Engineer during a period of significant investment and regeneration for the Wakefield District. The team provides quality consultation on new developments, encouraging innovation through design and ensuring development proposals meet all standards to deliver optimal services for residents and businesses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management
    :
    Oversee the design and implementation of Section 38 and 278 projects, managing timelines, budgets and resources effectively.
  • Team Management
    :
    Lead and manage a team of engineers, fostering a collaborative environment, setting clear goals and ensuring team alignment with project objectives.
  • Stakeholder Liaison
    :
    Act as the primary point of contact between developers, local authorities and contractors, ensuring all projects meet statutory requirements.
  • Technical Expertise
    :
    Provide guidance on engineering best practices, technical specifications and quality standards for highway adoption and related infrastructure.
  • Documentation & Compliance
    :
    Ensure all documentation complies with industry and regulatory standards, including preparation of technical reports, designs and specifications.
  • Mentorship
    :
    Support junior engineers in their development, promoting a culture of learning and continuous improvement within the team.
