Design Engineer (Lighting)

Location:

Office based, commutable from Wakefield, Leeds, Pontefract, Selby, York and surrounding areas.

Salary: £35,000–£40,000 with benefits including office based schedule Monday to Friday, holidays, pension, flexible start & finish time, hybrid working available (to be discussed at pre‑screen stage) and company benefits.

The role involves designing and developing new and existing lighting products, from concept through to completion. You will work closely with the Technical Manager to aid in the development and testing of the company’s creations.

Ideal candidate: understanding of product design engineering, proficiency with CAD packages such as AutoCAD, Relux and Dialux, and knowledge of lighting or building regulations.

• Design Engineer
• Developing new and existing products
• Concept to completion
• Working within the engineering team
• Working with the team to resolve process issues and identify areas for improvement

• Design Engineer, Electrical Design Engineer, CAD Engineer, Draughtsperson, CAD Technician or Lighting Design Engineer or similar backgrounds all considered
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment – lighting or electrical experience would be advantageous
• Knowledge and experience using AutoCAD, Relux and/or Dialux
