Financial Controller

This is a broad, senior role in the company, combining operational finance, technical accounting, treasury, and commercial support. The role is expected to evolve quickly due to a recent acquisition of another company.

This opportunity is with a well-established SME business in the industrial/manufacturing industry. The organisation is known for its focus on efficient operations and a commitment to maintaining high standards within its field.

• Produce monthly management accounts and financial analysis
• Prepare annual budgets and forecasts; monitor and report performance vs budget and prior year
• Oversee year-end audit process and statutory accounts
• Monitor costs, margins, yields, and overall financial performance
• Attend board and senior management meetings

• Cash flow and working capital management
• Treasury operations, including movement of funds between bank accounts
• Bank facility renewals, covenant compliance, and regular lender reporting
• Negotiation and management of company insurances

• Stock valuation for raw materials, WIP, and finished goods
• FX transactions and monthly revaluations
• Fixed asset register maintenance, prepayments, and accruals

• Primary finance contact for external advisors
• Negotiation of key commercial contracts
• Ad-hoc accounting support to group and other external stakeholders

• Fully Qualified - ACCA / ACA / CIMA
• Experience in the industrial/manufacturing industry is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards and regulations.
• Proficiency in financial software and tools.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lead and manage a team effectively.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.

• Competitive salary ranging from £60,000 to £65,000 per annum
