Assistant Accountant

We are working with an excellent engineering company, who are looking to bring on board an assistant accountant/junior management accountant to join the finance team on a full time, permanent basis. This role will report into the financial director and will work within a busy finance department.

This is an office based role, with a early Friday finish. You will be working in a open plan office, with multiple departments all together, so has a nice busy atmosphere.

Duties will include:

• Full end to end purchase ledger duties including BACs payments, weekly payment runs and matching.
• Supplier statements
• CIS returns, processing staff expenses
• Bank reconciliations
• Assisting with month end duties such as accruals, prepayments and journals
• Assisting with monthly management accounts
• Assisting with balance sheet reconciliations
• Other adhoc duties as the role grows/develops over time

Skills:

• CIS experience would be an advantage but not essential
• Strong MS Excel skills
