Location Wakefield within a specialist education and care setting supporting children and young people
Working Hours Full-time (37.5 hours per week) part-time considered
Typical hours : 8 : 00–16 : 00 or 8 : 30–16 : 30 (may vary)
Salary Up to 65,000 pro rata

Are you a Clinical Counselling, Forensic or Educational Psychologist looking for a rewarding role where your expertise truly matters? This is an opportunity to work in a specialist setting supporting children and young people with complex needs.

- Leadership opportunities for 2 days per week when the Lead is at other sites
- Deliver psychological assessments, formulations and interventions tailored to individual needs
- Work collaboratively with education and care teams to embed trauma‑informed and neurodiversity‑aware practices
- Provide consultation, reflective practice and training to staff
- Advocate for the voice and wellbeing of the children and young people you support
- Contribute to service development and evidence‑based practice
- Up to 65,000 pro rata
- £2,000 annual CPD/training allowance
- Flexible working options (part‑time considered)
- 4‑day working week after 6 months
- Term‑time plus 2 weeks
- Supportive multidisciplinary team environment
Essential
- HCPC registration as a Practitioner Psychologist
- Experience working with children and young people with neurodiverse or SEMH needs
- Full‑UK driving licence required
Desirable
- Experience in education or care settings
- Skills in consultation and service development
