We have 1 full time and 1 part time position as follows

The part time position is 30 hours per week on a 2 week rotation - 1st week 09.00am
-15.30pm and the second week 13.30pm - 20.00pm. This position is a Training role which can be discussed further at the interview stage.

The full time position is 37.5 hours per week rotational 5 days over 7.

Main duties of the job

To work as a part of the operational Facilities Team. The Supervisor will be required to exercise initiative and judgement to ensure the provision of an efficient, effective and a quality front of house service that is supportive to the wards/departments and outer areas. The post holder will be courteous and caring to patients, visitors, all service users and ward based Domestic Services.

Job responsibilities

Key requirements

  • To train, monitor and supervise facilities staff in all the elements of their role.
  • To supervise the handling of clinical waste generated by the retained estate.
  • Supervisors are required to work with staff teams and to carry out domestic duties to cover the needs of the service.
  • A Supervisor will be required to have the knowledge and technical ability to be able to undertake and teach staff the skills necessary to complete service delivery.
  • Supports the Trust’s Health and Safety Policy ensuring staff are trained to ensure the safety of staff, visitors and patient within their area of work.
  • Monitor areas of responsibility to ensure service standards are consistently delivered in line with the latest National Cleaning Standards taking remedial action as necessary.
  • Monitoring of catering services at ward level to ensure compliance with the Trust’s food safety documentation and current food safety legislation as highlighted in the Trust’s food services policy and the ward catering procedures.
  • Actively support the reduction in food wastage.
  • Delivering the Service - On a daily basis Supervisors will be required to identify and respond to user needs and to solve problems/complaints as and when they arise.
