Position: Assistant Clinical Research Practitioner at Spectrum Community Health CIC

Assistant Clinical Research Practitioner

Location:

Spectrum Community Health CIC, Wakefield, England, United Kingdom. This full‑time, on‑site position offers great opportunities for career growth.

The role involves working closely with and supporting the Research Team in delivering National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) Portfolio studies across Spectrum services.

Responsibilities include:

  • Correct identification, recruitment, delivery and follow‑up of research participants.
  • Facilitating collaborative working relationships across stakeholders and forging positive relationships with patients, participants, carers and the public.
  • Supporting safe conduct of research in accordance with the Research Governance Framework, International Conference on Harmonisation – Good Clinical Practice (ICH‑GCP) guidelines and EU Directive.
  • Coordinating the patient’s journey through the clinical trial protocol, including organisation of investigations, appointments and procedures.
  • Carrying out clinical procedures (vital signs, ECGs, body measurements) and obtaining blood/urine/sputum samples as per protocol, processing and shipping all samples according to study requirements.
  • Coordinating pre‑study tests, obtaining results and arranging appointments as per protocol.
  • Assisting in the development, implementation and maintenance of data systems and undertaking data entry.
  • Assisting in the writing of research‑related SOPs.
  • Providing training and supervision to members of the research team, RRDN Agile Team and students.
  • Collaborating with partner organisations to increase research opportunities for patients.
