About the roleWe are pleased to offer an exciting opportunity to join our dedicated Orthopaedic Theatre team at Pontefract Hospital.
We are seeking a highly motivated individual with extensive orthopaedic experience to become an integral part of our dynamic team.

Main dutiesWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual with extensive orthopaedic theatre experience to become a key member of our dynamic multidisciplinary team. This role is ideal for someone looking to take the next step in their perioperative career or seeking a fresh challenge in a supportive and forward thinking environment.
The successful candidate will demonstrate strong clinical experience within the orthopaedic speciality.
They will be expected to undertake a variety of perioperative roles including:
- Scrub Practitioner
- Circulating Person
- Escort Person
All responsibilities will be performed within the scope of the post holder’s qualifications and registration.
The post holder will act as a role model and mentor
, supporting junior staff and students through training, supervision, and participation in professional development processes..
Qualifications
- RODP/RN
- Willingness to undertake mentorship/assessor qualification
Experience
- Previous experience in theatre setting
Knowledge and Awareness
- Essential knowledge of your own speciality and current issues in health care
- Ability to demonstrate evidence based practice
- Continued Professional Development
- Awareness of own limitations
Skills and Abilities
- An ability to work within the peri-operative team and organise and prioritise own and others workload
- Commitment to training
