Business Intelligence Lead

Elevation Recruitment Group is working with a fast-growing bathroom distribution business on a strong upward trajectory following a significant operational turnaround. With ambition firmly in place, the focus now is on building the commercial and operational infrastructure to match - and data sits right at the heart of that next phase.

This is a newly created, flexible role for someone who can hit the ground running and make an immediate difference. The board knows the business needs better visibility of its data - cleaner reporting, sharper insight, and smarter use of the systems already in place. There's also a clear operational pain points to get stuck into from day one and fixing that kind of friction is exactly the sort of challenge this role is here to solve.

Whether you come in on a fractional, part-time, or consultancy basis, there's real scope to shape something here.

• Assessing the current data landscape and identifying quick wins in reporting and visibility
• Building Power BI dashboards that give the leadership team reliable, actionable insight across operations, finance, and commercial performance
• Automating manual processes that are currently eating time and creating inaccuracy
• Working with the team to understand why data sitting in existing systems isn’t being fully used - and fixing that
• Supporting the move towards a proper automated experience for customers

• Solid experience in a data or BI analyst role, ideally within retail, distribution, or logistics
• Strong Power BI skills, with the ability to build dashboards from scratch and present complex data clearly
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, and Excel;
  Power Apps experience a bonus
• A practical, problem-solving mindset - someone who asks good questions before diving in
• Comfortable working with an SME leadership team and influencing without a big team behind you

This suits someone who's done it before in a fast-paced commercial environment and knows how to translate messy data into decisions. You don’t need to be told what to build - but you do need to be curious enough to find out what the business actually needs.
