Join a growing, independently owned broker in Wakefield that puts service, expertise and long-term client relationships at the heart of everything it does - and become a key part of the team managing a substantial mid-market book.
This is a support role with real substance.
You'll be working alongside a senior broker to service a well-established book of roughly £500,000 income, across a broad range of mid-market and larger commercial risks.
It's a great opportunity for an experienced handler who wants to work on more complex, interesting risks within a business that trusts its people and values their input.
Salary: Up to £40,000
Location: Wakefield
Working pattern: Office based
- Supporting a senior broker in the day-to-day management of a £500,000 income mid-market book
- Handling renewals, MTAs and client queries across a broad range of commercial classes
- Liaising with insurers to obtain terms, negotiate cover and confirm placements
- Maintaining accurate client records and ensuring a consistently high standard of service
- Building strong working relationships with clients and insurer partners
- Contributing to a close-knit, ambitious team where ideas are welcomed and service genuinely matters
- Solid experience in commercial account handling - mid-market exposure preferred
- Broad knowledge across commercial lines
- Comfortable working on larger, more complex risks
- Well organised, proactive and able to manage competing priorities
- A strong communicator who builds trust with clients and colleagues alike
- CII qualifications beneficial but not essential
- Exposure to a substantial mid-market book with genuinely varied and interesting risks
