We are urgently recruiting freelance Czech interpreters and translators based in Wakefield to work within various settings such as the NHS, Local Authorities, Police, Probation and other public and private organisations.

Interpreting involves listening to, understanding and memorizing content in the original ‘source' language, then reproducing the speech into the ‘target' language with 100% accuracy.

You will be a self‑employed interpreter and translator, providing services across political, business, health care and public sectors. Your responsibilities include:

• Interpret for people using legal, health and local government services
• Check non‑English speakers' understanding after each sentence
• Provide conference, consecutive and public‑service interpreting
• Handle highly confidential information
• Liaise between service users and service providers

• Face‑to‑Face Interpreters
• Telephone Interpreters
• Video Interpreters
• Translators

• Fluent in English and Czech (or other languages)
• Right to work in the UK
• Aged 21 or older
• Formal qualifications such as Diploma in Public Service Interpreting (DPSI), Community Interpreting, NRPSI, CIOL, ITI registration or a degree in Translation/Interpreting/Languages
• Any other interpreting related qualification
