Senior Buyer

West Yorkshire Manufacturing Permanent

We're recruiting a Senior Buyer for a well-established UK manufacturing business. Reporting to the Head of Global Supply Chain, this role will take ownership of key commodities, supplier relationships, and cost-reduction initiatives while supporting wider supply chain improvement.

Key responsibilities include:

Managing supplier sourcing, negotiation, onboarding, and contracts
Owning specific commodities and mitigating supply chain risk
Delivering cost savings and improving delivery performance
Supporting NPI projects and production demand planning
Creating forecasts and KPI reporting
Supporting team leadership and process improvement initiatives

About you:

CIPS Level 4 qualified (or working towards)
5+ years' experience in a manufacturing purchasing environment
Strong negotiation, supplier management, and analytical skills
Confident working in fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environments
Full UK driving licence
