Operations Manager - Power & Utilities Infrastructure

Location:

North East / Yorkshire

Salary: £72,000 - £84,000 per year, plus car allowance and bonus (subject to experience)

The Role

As Operations Manager you will take ownership of a defined workstream within the business, ensuring safe, efficient, and commercially successful delivery of complex infrastructure projects. You will lead teams of Project Managers and delivery personnel across active frameworks, driving performance across the following areas:

  • Health, safety, and compliance
  • Programme delivery and productivity
  • Cost control and commercial performance
  • Quality and customer satisfaction

In addition, you will act as a senior operational lead, supporting continuous improvement and ensuring robust delivery standards across your area of responsibility.

About You

We are looking for an experienced leader from the power, utilities, construction or infrastructure sector, with a strong background in operational delivery. You will likely have:

  • Electrical, engineering, or construction background (or equivalent industry experience)
  • Experience in Operations, Project or Contract Management
  • Proven leadership of teams within a delivery environment
  • Strong commercial awareness (cost, programme, risk, quality)
  • IOSH Managing Safety certification or equivalent
  • Experience working within frameworks or regulated project environments
  • Experience with up to 132kV electrical environments would be highly advantageous
