Senior Project Manager – Civil Engineering (Water and Wastewater Projects)
Peter Duffy Limited, part of United Infrastructure, is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead complex, multi-disciplinary water and wastewater projects.
Responsibilities- Plan, coordinate, and manage the delivery of multiple ongoing projects (up to £10 million in value).
- Undertake Principal Contractor responsibilities in accordance with CDM 2015 regulations.
- Lead the implementation of Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental (HSQE) procedures across all projects.
- Conduct regular health and safety site inspections and promote a proactive safety culture.
- Manage overall project programmes, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
- Oversee all commercial aspects, including budget management, cost control, and achieving target margins.
- Provide line management to Site Managers, Engineers, and Site Foremen.
- Coordinate and manage supply chain partners, resolving issues and driving performance.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders; build strong relationships and provide regular updates on project progress.
- Chair and lead project meetings, ensuring accurate documentation of discussions, actions, and decisions.
- Manage change control and client expectations through effective communication and risk management.
- Collaborate with designers to develop practical, cost‑effective, and buildable solutions.
- Mentor and support the professional development of project delivery teams.
- Ensure all necessary method statements and risk assessments are in place and maintained.
- Plan and secure resources and materials to meet delivery schedules.
- Confident, proactive, and highly organized individual with a passion for delivering quality civil engineering projects.
- Experienced project leader with a strong track record in the water industry, particularly across complex infrastructure and non‑infrastructure works.
- Strong civil engineering background and familiarity with water and wastewater projects.
