Our Tesco Colleague rate of pay starts from £13.28 an hour; this increases to £14.55 for stores within the M25. Additional payments may also apply depending on location.

We offer a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week, with a flexible option for a minimum of 12 hours.

The table shows the periods of time in the week we'd like you to be available to work – the availability windows. We will schedule your contracted hours within these times and give you 3 weeks’ notice of when your shifts will be. We support flexibility and welcome applications with availability that closely matches these windows.  to read more.

Responsibilities
  • Knowing your customers and serving them with passion and pride; giving great natural service.
  • Being passionate and knowledgeable about the products and services within my store.
  • Working across the store in our service, picking and replenishment areas where required.
  • Putting into practice the training you have received, working safely, effectively and serving our customers brilliantly.
  • Making decisions that are right for customers, delivering routines that meet their needs at the right time.
  • Taking part in seasonal, community and charity events to create a great inclusive atmosphere.
  • Being knowledgeable about your store’s performance, understanding your role in driving service and sales, reducing waste and shrink, and delivering profit.
  • Handling products with care to maintain quality and ensure they reach customers in the best condition.
  • Living our values, making everyone feel welcome and always following our policies.
  • At times, you may be required to accept deliveries into the store.
