• Pay: £10.95 - £12.81 per hour.

We are looking to recruit a new retail assistant for our shop in Horbury Road, Wakefield. We offer a permanent part‑time position working a variety of shifts, with a minimum of 16 hours worked over 4 days from 7 each week, including weekends.

• Ages 16‑20: £10.95 per hour
• Ages 21+: £12.81 per hour

• Make all customers feel welcome with a friendly smile and simple hello.
• Help customers find the items they are looking for.
• Provide fast and friendly service at the tills, always offering help to pack and leaving a good impression with a friendly thank you and goodbye.
• Handle stock with care while working deliveries, quickly placing products into our freezers and onto our shelves ready for customers to buy.
• Work with the team to complete daily and weekly routines that keep the shop safe, clean and tidy.

• Friendly, positive, hard‑working approach to work.
• Enjoy being busy – you’ll jump from putting out deliveries to serving on the till, helping customers on the shop floor, completing cleaning and stock‑rotation routines and more.
• Reliable – you will be an important part of a small team, and your colleagues and customers will depend on you to do your best on each shift and not let the team down.
• Flexibility with shifts – you may need to work slightly different hours to cover for team members on holiday; rota’s are planned three weeks in advance and your other commitments will be considered when planning shifts.
• Complete an Employment Verification check if successful and offered the advertised position. The check will be sent via email and confirm your previous employment history against records held by HMRC.
