Positive Behaviour Support changes lives. Join us and help unlock new possibilities.

As a Positive Behavioural Support (PBS) practitioner, you will help children and young people with learning disabilities, Autism and sometimes other support needs to transform their lives.

We are looking for someone to join our team working across the Wakefield and Leeds area.

Who will I support?

You will work with children and young people who may not be accessing education and may be at significant risk of entering specialist residential care.

How will I make a difference?

Every young person we support will benefit from different strategies and interventions to help them flourish in a safe environment.

You will take time to understand the lived experience of the young person, and support them, their families, carers and other professionals to learn and apply the appropriate positive behaviour support techniques.

Your support will enable young people to stay in their current placements, access their communities and build tools they will use for the rest of their lives to live great, independent lives.

Using techniques built on the principles of inclusion, choice and participation, your support could be the difference between a locked door and an open path to independence.

You will receive regular clinical supervision from experienced professionals to ensure you feel confident and supported in your role.

This is a fixed term contract covering maternity leave for 9 months, with potential extension.

An enhanced DBS check is required (paid for by us).

  • Access pay as you earn via Stream -
  • Fully funded health plan via Simply Health (GP, dental, optical)
  • Pension & Life Assurance

We’re committed to being Disability Confident and we guarantee to interview all applicants with a disability who meet the minimum criteria for the vacancy.
