Shunter; CE FLT British GYPSUM

We’re looking for a full‑time, permanent Class 1 HGV Shunter Driver to join us at our site in Wakefield.

Monday to Friday – 14:00 – 22:00

Pay Rates: £15.86 plus £2.73 unsociable hours (18:00 – 22:00)

• You will be loading trailers and securing goods safely; full training will be given.
• You will work in a safe manner at all times.
• You will be required to operate an FLT during your working hours.
• You’ll be performing trailer movements in our busy regional yard.
• You will be driving a tug on site – previous experience would be an advantage.
• All work is yard based; no road work is expected.
• You must have shunting experience as some manoeuvres are in confined spaces.

• Must be flexible in working hours.
• No experience needed; full training will be given.
• Ideally LGV / HGV C+E / Class 1 entitlement on your licence.
• If a trained yard shunter without HGV Class 1, we will look to upskill your current licence.
• No more than 6 points, with no DD or DR endorsements present.
• FLT Licence.
