We are currently recruiting for Yard Operatives to join a busy logistics and distribution site based in Normanton. This is a physically demanding role, ideal for individuals who enjoy hands-on work and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Please note:

This role is based solely outdoors in the yard, regardless of weather conditions. Candidates must be comfortable working outside all year round and be prepared for a role that involves consistent manual handling and hard physical work.

Pay Rates & Shift Information:
Days: £12.76 per hour | 06:00 – 14:00
Afternoons: £15.95 per hour | 14:00 – 22:00
Nights: £16.97 per hour | 22:00 – 06:00

The Role:

As a Yard Operative, your main responsibility will be sorting and processing kegs unloaded from incoming wagons. This is a physically demanding position that requires a proactive approach, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work efficiently in a busy outdoor environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Sorting kegs unloaded from delivery wagons
Handballing stock from trailers and containers
Loading and unloading goods safely and efficiently
Supporting the smooth flow of operations across the yard
Moving products to designated locations
General yard maintenance and housekeeping duties
Following all site health and safety procedures
Working towards operational targets in a fast-paced environment

What We're Looking For:

Reliable and punctual individuals with a strong work ethic
Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions throughout the year
Physically fit and capable of carrying out heavy lifting and manual handling duties
Proactive attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
Previous experience within a warehouse, yard, or logistics environment is beneficial but not essential
Candidates who understand this is a demanding, hands-on role and are prepared for hard work
