Wakefield Salary: £30,000 - £34,000 per year Overview Our client is looking for a Transport Planner to join their busy operations team in Wakefield, supporting the day-to-day coordination of transport operations, ensuring vehicles, drivers, and resources are utilised effectively. This opportunity would suit someone with 2-3 years' experience within transport planning or general haulage operations who is looking to further develop their career within a fast-paced logistics environment.

Key Responsibilities Plan and coordinate daily transport activities across UK road movements Allocate work effectively across vehicles and drivers to maximise operational efficiency Liaise with customers, drivers, and subcontractors regarding collections, deliveries, and updates Monitor transport activity and proactively manage delays or operational issues Ensure all transport documentation and system updates are completed accurately Support route planning and scheduling to meet customer requirements and deadlines Work closely with internal teams to maintain service levels and operational performance Build and maintain strong working relationships with customers and suppliers Requirements Minimum 2-3 years' experience within a transport planning or transport operations role Previous experience within a general haulage environment Understanding of UK transport operations, driver regulations, and planning processes Ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple tasks simultaneously Salary & Benefits Salary between £30,000 - £34,000 depending on experience Monday to Friday (office hours) Opportunity for career progression and development Onsite role Supportive and collaborative working environment Bennett and Game Recruitment are a multi-disciplined technical recruitment agency based in Chichester, West Sussex operating across the UK with specialist teams covering a range of industries.
