Days: 06:00am - 14:00pm, Monday to Friday
Afternoons: 14:00pm - 22:00pm, Sunday - Thursday
Nights 22:00pm - 06:00pm, Sunday - Thursday

We are currently recruiting for 2 X Transport Clerks to join a busy transport office based in Wakefield. This is a fast-paced role supporting daily transport operations within a drinks logistics environment.

The successful candidate will be organised, reliable, and confident working in a busy operational setting. The ability to work independently and make decisions when required is essential.

• Booking out drivers at the start of shift and issuing driver packs, including delivery notes and run sheets generated from the ESP system
• Monitoring driver progress throughout the day, recording any delays or issues, and communicating updates to Customer Services to ensure customers are kept informed
• Logging vehicle and trailer defects and reporting these to maintenance providers, ensuring the Axcend system is accurately updated
• Completing driver debriefs on return using the ESP system and ensuring all paperwork, including PODs, is correctly processed and filed

• Previous experience within a Transport office is essential
• Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with drivers and internal departments
• Able to work using own initiative and manage workload effectively
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills
• Basic IT skills; experience using ESP or similar transport management systems is advantageous
