Warehouse Stock Operative – Wakefield
The position
- This is a full‑time permanent position based at the distribution centre in Wakefield
- Rate of pay: £25,389 per annum
- Weekly hours: 37.5 plus a 30‑minute unpaid break each day
- Shift patterns: 5 days a week – 8‑hour shifts between 06:00‑14:00, 14:00‑22:00, 22:00‑06:00
- Working environment: chilled
A day in the life of a warehouse stock assistant
As a Warehouse Stock Assistant you will work as part of a dynamic and supportive team in a fast‑paced and target‑driven environment to keep stock entering or leaving depot accurate.
- Auditing supplier deliveries on the GFR programme
- Auditing picker accuracy for stock destined for stores and fully investigating errors
- Aiding agreed auditing and error verification procedures at all times
- Maintaining integrity at all times
- Ensuring expected productivity levels in line with customer expectations
- Reviewing daily targets in line with customer expectations

Job specifics
- Ability to respond to verbal instructions and audible warning devices
- Ability to communicate good, both written and verbally
