What will I be doing?
  • Fire Safety Compliance & Risk Management

    Ensure full compliance with local fire codes, building regulations, and international safety standards.

    Conduct regular fire risk assessments and implement effective mitigation strategies.

    Liaise with local fire authorities and regulatory bodies to facilitate inspections and obtain necessary certifications.

  • Emergency Preparedness & Response

    Develop, implement, and maintain the hotel’s comprehensive emergency response plan.

    Lead fire drills, evacuation exercises, and crisis simulations for team members and guests.

    Coordinate with relevant internal teams to ensure swift and effective emergency response.

    Conduct fire safety training for all hotel team members, including onboarding and refresher programs.

    Promote a proactive safety culture through awareness campaigns and clear, visible signage.

    Oversee the maintenance and regular testing of fire detection, alarm, and suppression systems, including sprinklers, extinguishers, and smoke detectors.

    Ensure all life safety equipment is fully operational and compliant with inspection schedules.

  • Incident Investigation & Reporting

    Investigate fire-related incidents and near misses, preparing detailed reports and analysis.

    Recommend corrective actions and ensure timely follow‑up and implementation.

    Partner with various hotel teams to integrate safety practices into daily operations.

    Support hotel leadership in safety‑related decision‑making and budget planning.

    Ensure guest areas are safe and compliant with fire and life safety standards.

    Provide clear guidance and support during guest emergencies, ensuring effective communication and reassurance.

What are we looking for?

A Fire & Life Safety Manager serving Hilton Brands is always working on behalf of our Guests and working with other Team Members. To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviours, skills, and values that follow:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Fire Safety, Occupational Health & Safety or a related field.
  • Professional certifications such as CFPS (Certified Fire Protection Specialist), NEBOSH (National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health), or equivalent are highly preferred.
  • Proven experience in fire safety or emergency management, preferably within the hospitality industry or high‑rise building environments.
  • Pre‑opening experience is an added advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of local fire codes, international safety standards, and fire protection systems.
  • Proficient in safety measures in accordance with national laws, city‑specific regulations, and local compliance requirements.
  • Well‑versed in hotel security management and professional etiquette.
