Marketing Specialist

Sprout is looking for a curious, creative, and collaborative marketer to join our small but mighty team. The ideal candidate loves writing, has a genuine interest in parenting, works well with others, values consistency, and is eager to learn and grow. You’ll create content, support photoshoots, help launch products, collaborate with designers and production, and maintain our website. Responsibilities will evolve alongside your interests and strengths.

Create content that addresses parents’ needs and inspires their parenting journey. Topics may include: sleep & rest, feeding & cooking, fine & gross motor development, literacy, and shared family experiences

Maintain meaningful connections with customers through thoughtful communication

Record, review, and analyze performance data across channels to inform decisions and improve outcomes

Follow and improve established standards and processes

Bring true value to our audience with a customer-focused perspective and voice

Support product launches from start to finish, including market and competitor research, photography, SEO and keyword research, launch planning, and coordination with internal teams

• 2+ years relevant experience or education (fields such as writing, marketing, graphic design, photography/video, or a related field)
• Strong writing skills- able to communicate succinctly and persuasively while staying grounded in our mission: helping parents create spaces that foster independence, creativity, and resilience in children
• Experience collaborating on photoshoots or content production beyond writing (styling, shot lists, mood boards, minor editing experience)
• Open to feedback, eager to improve, and interested in both learning from others and sharing knowledge with teammates
• Ability to follow existing processes while clearly documenting work, learnings, and improvements so the team can move faster and smarter over time
• Clear communicator who can collaborate with designers, production, and leadership to move projects forward efficiently
• High attention to detail. Any piece of content you write, design, or edit may be seen by over 100,000 people
• Strong follow-through. Able to take projects from idea to execution while meeting timelines and quality standards
• Experience with SEO fundamentals (keyword research, on-page optimization, content planning), or strong interest in learning and applying them
• Familiarity with basic analytics tools (GA, Klaviyo, Shopify, or similar)

• Ideally having direct photoshoot experience (lighting, editing, in-depth camera experience, videography experience, video editing)
• Familiarity with parenting and education frameworks (including Montessori, RIE, Reggio-Emilia, Forest Schools, Waldorf, etc.)
• Familiarity with online parenting culture (blogs, popular approaches, influencers/mom bloggers)

Hours and Compensation $23-$26.50 DOE. Compensation can increase over time as you grow into new skills, with internal training provided. Relevant prior experience aligned with our training areas will be considered in the initial offer. Full-time: 40 hours per week in-person.
