Project Manager - Land Development Design

SOLTESZ is rapidly growing and is looking for key managers to help us continue to provide outstanding professional services to our clients. The Project Manager position is located in our Waldorf, MD office and will be responsible for managing a portfolio of civil/site land development design projects, including client relations, project financials, profitability, and client satisfaction. This position also requires direct supervision and mentoring of design staff, including engineers and designers.

Essential job functions include:

• Client and project management
• Development and preparation of proposals
• Providing excellent and responsive client service
• Maintaining project schedules, budgets, and invoicing
• Offering technical expertise to assist clients in achieving development goals
• Representing clients at key project milestones, including public presentations and hearings
• Business development and marketing
• Leadership, mentoring, and staff development
• Supervising staff, quality control of civil/site designs, workload and resource planning
• Overseeing employee performance with regular feedback and recognition
• Collaborating with senior leadership to achieve company goals

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
• PE registration in Maryland required
• 10-12 years of progressive experience in civil engineering land development design, preferably in Southern Maryland
• 5+ years managing civil/site design for land development projects (Southern Maryland experience preferred)
• 5+ years managing design staff
• Excellent organizational, delegation, and communication skills
• Experience in nurturing client relationships and delivering quality service

Compensation: $110,000 - $125,000 annually
