K&I HEALTHCARE SERVICES (KIHS) is seeking a Program Director that can help us carry forward the traditions of recovery with unconditional kindness. The ideal candidate will be both an outstanding provider of substance use disorder counseling and a strong leader.
Licenses and Other Required Credentials- LCADC, LCPC, LMSW, LGPC, LCSW-C, and SUD Approved Supervisor status in Maryland
- Must have an active CAC-AD license
- Must have at least three solid years of work experience in substance and behavioral health services
- Minimum five years of work experience in administrative supervision and oversight
- Experience providing group and individual counseling to individuals with substance use and co-occurring psychiatric disorders
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a supervisory/leadership position within the human services field
- Familiar with state/federal regulations, CARF standards, and DEA regulations when necessary
- Must become competent in Medication Assisted Treatment best practices
- You must meet all state and regulatory requirements to provide Clinical Supervision to Substance Use Disorder clinical staff in the state where you are employed

Pay$95,000.00 - $ per year (Depending on Licensure)
Signing Bonus$3,000
DUTIES- In partnership with the CEO & Medical Director, execute established clinical outcome Key Performance Indicators including patient retention, completion rates, direct client care, program census, and average length of stay.
- Ensure SUD staff Key Performance Indicators, including counselor direct care hours, are being met.
- Set a standard of clinical and professional excellence, providing clear expectations and accountability for all SUD staff.
- Respond to patient concerns and resolve clinical, program, and customer service issues with solutions aligned with ethical guidelines and best practices.
- Safeguard model fidelity and promote evidence‑based, harm reduction, and recovery‑oriented care.
- Provide supervision focused on performance management, clinical certification, and licensure.
- Complete weekly clinical supervision documents within 24 hours of supervision and submit to clinical leadership.
- Ensure completion of clinical documentation, including Treatment Plans, BAMs, group and individual sessions, and discharge summaries.
- Facilitate and document weekly staff meetings, group supervision, and case consultations.
- Observe groups and individual sessions to ensure service delivery meets clinical standards.
- Review daily and weekly reports to ensure adherence to patient care, documentation, and other Key Performance Indicators.
- Review admission, discharge, and other census data weekly for the program / area of responsibility.
- Coordinate with clinical leadership and Human Resources on onboarding and termination of employees.
- Manage caseload according to program needs, carrying a reduced caseload with possible full caseload when required.
- Provide group coverage as needed.
- Provide support and direct intervention to staff during client crises.
- Partner with compliance to maintain CARF standards and state regulations.
- Adhere to company operating policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with medical and clinical leadership to improve programming and ensure evidence‑based practices.
- Embark on continuous professional growth with all clinical and administrative team members.
- Deliver clinical training to external companies, conduct marketing and outreach, promote services, and develop strategic partnerships.
- Promote the organization’s image positively and professionally.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Master's Degree preferred (social work, human services, behavioral health).
- Must have CAC-AD license.
- Minimum of three solid years in substance and behavioral health services.
- Minimum of five years in administrative supervision and oversight.
- Minimum of one year in a supervisory/leadership position within human services.
- Knowledge of state/federal regulations, CARF standards, and DEA regulations.
- Competence in Medication Assisted Treatment best practices.
- Willingness to work required hours based on specific location.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong documentation and computer skills, including EMR usage.
- Engaging with staff and patients while promoting accountability for clinical outcomes.
- Compliance with ethical and professional standards of counselors and therapists.
- Initiative to lead proactively in critical situations, with advanced problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
- Knowledge of crisis intervention, risk assessments, suicide assessment skills, and de‑escalation techniques.
- 8 hour shift

- Administrative / Supervision / Oversight: 5 years (Preferred)
