Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

Fee for Services: $75 for New Evaluation; $60 for follow-up visits.

We are expanding to better serve our community and are looking for PMH-NP who will provide exceptional care.

• Follow the Policies and Procedures of K&I Healthcare Services
• Assess, examine, diagnose and treat patients with mental illness by conducting a comprehensive family assessment
• Assess the impact of acute and/or chronic illness, psychiatric disorders, and stressors on the family system
• Identify, select, and implement clinical evidence-based best practices and programs
• Dose/administer/monitor ketamine treatment (training provided)
• Develop a plan of care
• Establish and maintain appropriate standards for diagnosis and treatment, including therapeutic modalities and prescribing practices
• Ensure medical aspects of quality management
• Conduct psychiatric assessment and diagnostic examinations
• Oversee linkage between primary care and behavioral health care systems
• Prescribe and provide medication management; counsel on benefits and side effects of medications and the consequences of non-adherence
• Other duties assigned based on job description

• Master’s, postgraduate, or doctoral degree from a psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner program accredited by CCNE or ACEN
• Graduation from a state-certified advanced practice program specializing in psychiatry/mental health
• Licensed by the state of Maryland as a Psychiatrist or Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Practitioner with active DEA
• Knowledge of DSM diagnoses, therapeutic modalities and mental health evidence-based practices
• Knowledge of resources targeted towards health of adults, children, youth and families
• 2+ years’ experience as an RN; 3 years’ experience as a psychiatric nurse practitioner

K&I Healthcare Services follows the salary guidelines in the State of Maryland. The position for PMH-NP will be a contract position at $75 per new/initial client assessment and $60 per client follow-up visits.
