Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Part Time

Morningside Elite Management – Setauket, New York.

We are seeking Licensed Practical Nurses to join our assisted‑living community as soon as possible. Our organization is a women‑owned and operated senior‑living management company.

Tuesdays 2:00 PM–10:00 PM & every other weekend 6 AM–6 PM.

Provides licensed nursing services to residents and may require supervision of other staff positions.

• Responsible for medication administration for the residents in compliance with Federal & State regulations
• May be responsible for the admissions of new residents, including all admission assessments and documentation
• Responsible for completing service plans
• May be responsible for clinical system tracking (i.e., wounds or infection control) under the direction of the Director
• Provide general consultation regarding health‑related concerns within the community
• Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently when listening, speaking, reading and writing
• Notify physicians and/or family of any change in resident’s health and provide proper documentation
• Respond quickly to all emergencies
• Work as part of a team and handle multiple tasks safely and effectively while maintaining close communication with all departments and staff members
• Provide educational meetings for residents and staff and attend all required training, in‑service and staff meetings
• May provide oversight and direction for care staff
• Understand role in the Safety & Disaster Plan
• Maintain confidentiality of residents’ and prospective residents’ information
• Strive to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, the preservation of equipment and the achievement of safe working practices
• Maintain a positive and professional demeanor toward residents, visitors, families and co‑workers
• Adhere to all policies and procedures of Morningside Elite Management
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Must be a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state; a bachelor’s degree from a four‑year college or university, or one to two years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Must be CPR certified or willing to become certified
