We are looking for Certified Medication Technicians (CMTs) to join our team at Morningside House of St. Charles, a leading assisted living and memory care community in Waldorf, MD.

• Full‑time: 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM
• Part‑time: 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM
• Full‑time: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM

Administer oral and topical medications to residents in accordance with physician orders and under the supervision of a licensed nurse, while complying with state and federal regulations. Perform routine daily tasks that support residents’ health, comfort, and well‑being.

• Administer medications as ordered by a physician under the supervision of a licensed nurse, in accordance with all regulations and community policy.
• Demonstrate knowledge of the “five rights” of medication administration and record all medication given to residents according to their charts.
• Take and record vital signs when assigned or required by medications.
• Record medication and/or treatment administration using the computer system.
• Observe and report any reactions or side effects to a licensed nurse immediately.
• Administer PRN medications in accordance with regulations and policy.
• Ensure antiseptic techniques and proper hand hygiene for infection control, and practice universal precautions.
• Report and record any changes in residents’ condition or behavior, and unusual incidents.
• Submit incident/accident reports within twenty‑four (24) hours.
• Communicate with medical staff, nursing services and other department supervisors.
• Supervise care staff in absence of nurses.
• Maintain, clean, and organize the Medication Room.
• Co‑ordinate with other department supervisors to plan resident activities.
• Attend all required training, in‑service meetings, and staff meetings.
• Possibly handle hazardous chemicals and exposure to infectious waste, diseases, TB, AIDS, and Hepatitis B.
• Maintain resident and staff confidentiality; treat all with kindness, dignity, and respect.
• Comply with Resident’s Rights rules.

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree, or 1–3 months of related experience/training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Certified Medication Technician (CMT) certification required.
