A Demi Chef de Partie with Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts is responsible for preparing and presenting high‑quality dishes at Peacock Alley restaurant, as well as in‑room dining and banquets. The role also supports food cost controls.

What will I be doing?

As a Demi Chef de Partie
, you will perform the following to the highest standards:

  • Prepare and present high quality dishes within company guidelines
  • Keep all working areas clean and tidy, ensuring no cross‑contamination
  • Prepare mis‑en‑place for all relevant menus
  • Assure timely and efficient resolution of guest queries
  • Ensure food supplies are of good quality and stored correctly
  • Assist in controlling costs, improving gross profit margins and other departmental financial targets
  • Assist other departments as needed and maintain good working relationships
  • Report maintenance, hygiene and hazard issues
  • Comply with hotel security, fire regulations and all health, safety and food safety legislation
  • Be aware of departmental targets and strive to achieve them as part of the team
  • Adopt environmentally conscious practices
What are we looking for?

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • Basic Food Hygiene Certificate
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to work independently or in a team

Desirable assets:

  • Experience in a similar brand or high‑end hotel setting
  • Strong cooking technique and menu knowledge
  • Proficiency in kitchen management systems
