Mall Circle Road, Waldorf, MD

Position:
Delivery Driver (Full‑time, Non‑Exempt)

Hourly Wage: $25 / hour

Preferred: CDL Class "C" (not required; DOT medical card will be paid for).

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Serve as the face of the brand during in‑home and on‑site furniture deliveries and assemblies.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service, acting as a brand ambassador for Scandinavian Designs | Dania Furniture.
  • Assist customers with furniture assembly or repairs and provide added‑value services as needed.
  • Maintain a safe, efficient delivery schedule, communicating with customers by phone, email, and text to confirm details.
  • Operate large box trucks safely, observing all traffic laws and company safety procedures.
  • Inspect delivery vehicles pre‑ and post‑trip, keeping them in top condition.
  • Maintain accurate delivery logs and records, complying with HOS regulations.
  • Ensure products are secured and transported safely, loading and unloading merchandise per safety procedures.
  • Assemble furniture, attach tickets, and prepare merchandise for delivery staging.
  • Verify invoices and purchase requests, maintain accurate inventory, and remove packaging debris.
  • Assist with showroom changes, tagging, and display upkeep.
  • Offer flexibility for long‑distance trips, occasional overnight stays (per diem provided), and special projects.
Who You Are
  • Customer‑centric attitude with 1–3 years of customer‑facing experience.
  • Valid state‑issued driver’s license and a minimum of 2 years of safe driving experience (5+ years preferred).
  • Ability to lift and carry 75 lbs. unassisted and assemble furniture.
  • Excellent communication skills, invoice reading, and system usage.
  • Proficiency with hand trucks, basic assembly, and small power tools.
  • Willingness to obtain forklift certification (required at some locations).
  • Flexible for weekends, holidays, overtime, and travel.
  • Must complete required pre‑employment screenings: drug screen, physical (including DOT medical card), background check, vehicle record check, and nondisclosure agreement. Random and post‑accident drug screening is required.
  • Preferred: CDL, and eligibility depends on maintaining DOT and driving certifications.
Education
  • High School diploma or GED. 2+ years of driving experience is a plus.
