Outside Sales Specialist

Quality Controls is a representative and stocking distributor of flow control equipment, process equipment and process instrumentation. We maintain a large inventory of valves, gates, actuators and instrumentation to meet our customers’ demanding requirements. • Expand existing relationships with end users, contractors, and engineers while building lasting relationships with new accounts
• Provide engineers and end users a professional level of product promotion/selection, support and follow up to ensure projects are successful and to maximize sales revenue
• Travel within assigned sales territory;

• Be self‑motivated to set up meetings, product promotion events, and relationship building activities to maintain frequent contact with your customer base
• Attend product training seminars and participate in local industry associations and trade shows
• Travel to represented (manufacturer) companies for training on an as‑needed basis
• Work with end‑users with a hands‑on approach. This may entail assisting with commissioning new equipment
• Work with the inside sales staff to provide a managerial role for projects and the management thereof
• Provide monthly sales reporting including forecasting and insights to current bid activity

• 3+ years of outside sales experience. Experience selling mechanical equipment like valves, actuators, and pumps desired.
• Water/wastewater experience desired.
• Exceptional communication skills; both verbal and written.
• Valid US Driver License
• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or military experience with 4 years professional experience
• The ability to travel overnight up to 20%
• Great organizational and relationship skills
• Proficient with Microsoft 365 and familiar with CRM systems

• $100k‑$120k + commission
