Patient Coordinator / Medical Receptionist – Walker, MIAs the first point of contact, the Patient Coordinator creates a welcoming experience, supports smooth check‑in/out processes, and upholds high standards of patient care.
Responsibilities- Deliver exceptional customer service during every patient encounter (in person or via phone). Display a professional attitude, greet patients promptly with a smile, and thank them when they leave.
- Answer phones (both external and internal); assure prompt, courteous service at all times.
- Practice urgency with patients’ time, as well as Doctor’s time and schedule.
- Manage patient flow in the office.
- Knowledge of common fees charged for common visits and collect correct payments.
- Complete daily reconciliations, close day, and count cash drawer.
- Perform general office duties and cleaning as assigned by manager.
- Ability to interact with all levels of employees in a courteous, professional manner at all times.
- Desire to gain industry knowledge and training.
- Demonstrates initiative in accomplishing practice goals.
- Ability to grow, adapt, and accept change.
- Consistently creates a positive work environment by being team‑oriented and patient‑focused.
- Commitment to work over 40 hours to meet the needs of the business.
- Reliable transportation that would allow employee to go to multiple work locations with minimal notice.
- High school diploma or GED.
- One year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- None required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.
- Frequent walking (75%), sitting (50%), standing (50%). Regular bending, stooping, reaching (25–50%). Lift, carry, push, pull up to 25 lbs. Strong fine motor skills and full use of hands. Visual and auditory acuity required 100% of the time. Occasional driving or climbing may be necessary.
