Salary: $92,880 - $124,908 annually.

Location: Tumwater, WA.
Job Summary: Lead analyst supporting health services reporting for the 1115 Medicaid Waiver. Key responsibilities include data analysis, report development using SQL, SSRS, Power
BI, and other tools, and providing analysis and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders.
- Independently design, develop, and implement health‑services data analyses and reports that address complex business issues.
- Consult with managers, clinical staff, and stakeholders to evaluate data integrity and develop business rules.
- Collaborate with the Health Services Informatics Manager to analyze trends, issues, and outcomes and present findings to executive and external stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain standard processes for responding to reporting needs, including staff training.
- Lead problem‑solving and process improvement initiatives within Health Services.
- Respond to mandatory ad‑hoc requests from internal and external stakeholders (e.g., legislative staff, Governor’s office, WA Dept. of Health).
- Assist in training on consistent processes for responsive requests.
- Provide leadership support to the Informatics Manager (meeting preparation, briefing preparation, project oversight).
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in public administration, health care, sociology, criminal justice, social work, social sciences, analytics, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- At least five (5) years of experience managing complex datasets and responding to research and/or policy‑related inquiries.
- Five (5) or more years of experience with structured query language (SQL or equivalent) and/or SAS, including complex joins, multiple data sources, stored procedures, tables, and views.
- Three (3) or more years of experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS).
- Two (2) or more years of experience with Power
BI and/or Tableau. - Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to summarize complex information clearly for varied audiences.
- Experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) or ETL processes.
- SQL Server database design, programming, and maintenance experience (≥2 years).
- Team Foundation Server and Visual Studio experience.
- Lead worker experience.
- Experience in health informatics.
- Working knowledge of medical terminology and national coding standards.
