DescriptionThis is an opportunity to support the Department’s goals and objectives by developing systems and processes that ensure that the fiscal responsibilities to the State of Washington are met with the highest level of integrity.
Responsibilities- Review and approve financial documents
- Consult on variance problems and electronic fund transfers
- Analyze and execute complex transactions
- Reconcile agency general ledger and subsidiary accounting records
- Ensure reports are examined and corrected
- Establish, monitor, and maintain files according to agency policy

- Bachelor’s degree, including 18 quarter or 12 semester hours in accounting, auditing, or budgeting
- Two to three years of relevant professional experience
NOTE:
Professional experience may substitute for education, but not for the required credit hours. A master’s degree in a financial-related field, certification as a Public Accountant, Internal Auditor, Certified Governmental Financial Manager, or Management Accountant may be substituted for professional experience.
