Salary: $3,477.00 - $4,632.00 Monthly (plus 5% King County duty station pay)
Work Hours:
Flexible; partial telework may be considered.
South Puget Sound Region Finance is seeking a Fire Fiscal Analyst to join our team of six professional-level Fiscal Analysts. The Analyst works closely with the South Puget Sound Wildland Fire Program and Fire Finance staff across the agency, providing fiscal support and reporting.
Responsibilities- Primary fiscal support for the South Puget Sound Fire Program for Payroll, Benefits, Reimbursements, Travel & Credit Cards.
- Provide Fire Finance Training to seasonal and permanent staff, fire service cooperators, and casual hires.
- Maintain records for large fires within the region according to state and agency policies.
- Assist the Region Fire Cost Analyst in preparing monthly fire suppression reporting of actual & estimated costs for the State Legislature.
- Provide support to cooperative partners at the region, state & federal levels per interagency agreements and regulations.
- One year of fiscal technical experience.
- Experience setting priorities to meet work deadlines and produce results.
- Experience with Payroll and Accounts Payable.
- Proficiency in Adobe Pro, Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, MS 365, Google Workspace, Teams, SharePoint, One Drive.
- Experience extracting/generating reports from multiple financial reporting systems (Excel, CSV, PDF).
- Knowledge of GAAP and related accounting rules, regulations, policies, and laws.
- Ability to make decisions within delegated authority.

- Associate degree or higher in accounting, auditing, or budgeting.
- Knowledge of DNR or OFM financial policies and procedures.
- 15 credit hours in accounting, auditing, or budgeting.
- Experience with SAP (Natur
E or HRMS). - Experience in government fiscal operations.
- Demonstrated aptitude to learn business computer systems.
