Position and SalaryThe Attorney General’s Office is recruiting a permanent full‑time IT Data Management – Entry position in the Information Services Division, located in Tumwater, Washington. The position is not union‑represented.
Salary range: $67,716 - $91,080. The base pay will be determined by internal equity and may vary based on the applicant’s knowledge, skills, and experience.

Duties and Essential FunctionsThis position independently provides business and technology‑related system administration, consulting, analysis, testing, implementation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and IT problem resolution. The role serves as a Litigation Technology Specialist for eDiscovery systems and requires subject‑matter expertise in litigation technology.
Work Duties- Provide administration, configuration, implementation, integration, support, maintenance, and enhancements for litigation support software and systems.
- Create and configure permissions for litigation databases.
- Maintain accurate records and implement quality‑control measures for collecting and transferring data.
- Resolve complex issues.
- Manage the Managed File Transfer (MFT) service, including account creation, password resets, and troubleshooting error messages.
- Document systems‑administration procedures for configuring, installing, and supporting litigation support software.
- Create implementation plans and schedules; execute test and production deployments.
- Research, evaluate, configure, test, and deploy new or upgraded applications.
- Participate in incident‑management processes for litigation support systems.
Experience
- Five (5) years of experience in setting up and maintaining eDiscovery systems, including data consultation, collection, processing, analysis, and validation.
- OR Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field plus three (3) years of experience in data consultation, collection, processing, analysis, and validation.
- OR Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field plus one (1) year of experience in data consultation, collection, processing, analysis, and validation.
Skills and Abilities
- Experience working in law firms and understanding the delivery of legal services.
- Certified or experienced in Case Map, Everlaw, and Trial Director.
- Knowledge of the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM) and the Sedona Conference (TSC) principles.
- Litigation Support Specialist Certification or similar.
- Ability to collect data from Microsoft 365, cloud platforms, and mobile devices.
