- Salary: $41.98–$68.83 hourly – base salary. (Does not include a 5% on‑site 24/7 facility premium.)
This position follows a consistent rotating overnight schedule designed to average 30 hours per week
.
- Overnight shifts Sunday–Monday, 10:00 PM – 8:00 AM
- Every other Tuesday overnight is worked to maintain the part‑time schedule
- This rotation provides predictable scheduling while allowing for extended time off between work weeks
We need your nursing skills to take charge of emergency medical situations and act as a liaison between the community and residents, providing professional nursing services for youth committed by the courts to a secure juvenile rehabilitation institution. As an important member of the Health Center Team, you will treat residents according to physician orders and encourage resident accountability using the integrated treatment plan.
SomeOf What You'll Do
- Provide professional nursing services including direct patient care such as assessment, evaluation, diagnosis, and interventions related to medical and/or psychiatric conditions.
- Perform initial medical screening at intake; implement infection control, VFC vaccination, and employee health and wellness programs.
- Educate and counsel youth, families, and staff regarding medical and mental health care.
- Provide medical case management for youth with chronic or acute conditions; communicate with and instruct non‑medical agency staff on treatment and care of youth.
- Prepare and file medical documents; schedule appointments; perform basic data entry using an electronic management information system.
- Recognize and report risk indicators such as self‑harm threats, medication refusal or misuse.
- Administer prescribed medications per the physician’s orders.
- Provide first aid and first‑response emergency medical services for youth, visitors, and other employees.
- Graduates from an accredited school of nursing with an unencumbered Registered Nurse license to practice in Washington.
- One year of professional Registered Nurse experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience totalling 3 years.
- The ability to take action to learn and grow.
- The ability to meet the needs of others.
Preferred Qualifications
- Adolescent development and juvenile rehabilitation practices.
- Experience working with clients from diverse backgrounds and cultural groups.
- Previous work experience in a juvenile rehabilitation facility.
- Two or more years of professional Registered Nurse experience.
- Current resume detailing work history and education.
- Cover letter detailing your qualifications for the position.
