Licensed Practical Nurse 4 (LPN4) – Full Time, Permanent
Location: WA State Penitentiary, Walla Walla, WA
Shift: Tuesday – Saturday, 1405 – 2205
Salary Range: $5,892 – $7,930 per month
Responsibilities- Administer medication as ordered.
- Provide patient care using skills and techniques appropriate to the correctional setting and within state law.
- Deliver competent patient care and maintain professional nursing conduct at all times.
- Delegate and assign tasks to other staff as appropriate.
- Communicate effectively and document patient interactions accurately.
- Perform other tasks assigned by the nursing supervisor.
- Unencumbered licensure in Washington as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) OR an unencumbered multistate license from a participating Compact state.
- Minimum of 2 years experience as an LPN.
- Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Proficiency using computer programs for scheduling, monitoring, tracking patient information, data entry, word processing, and email.
- Ability to perform physical duties including lifting up to 50 pounds and pushing up to 100 pounds as required.
- Experience working as a nurse in an acute care setting or a correctional facility.
- Demonstrated ability to comply with DOC policies, procedures, and collective bargaining agreements.
- Complete and submit a detailed résumé.
