Recruitment DetailsThis recruitment will fill multiple non‑permanent Park Aide positions across the Olympic Peninsula (Dosewallips, Potlatch, Bogachiel, Sequim Bay). Positions may begin March–June, lasting 3–5 months. Work is typically 40 hours per week, with possible part‑time options.

Park Locations- Dosewallips State Park – 1,011 acre, year‑round campground, 5 miles shoreline on Hood Canal and Dosewallips River.
- Potlatch State Park – 57 acre, 5,700‑ft saltwater shoreline, year‑round camping.
- Sequim Bay State Park – 92 acre marine camp, 4,909‑ft shore, year‑round.
- Bogachiel State Park – 123 acre, forested, located on tip of Hoh Rainforest.
Under the supervision of a Park Ranger, Park Aides perform a variety of tasks including visitor services, grounds maintenance, and facility care.
Primary Duties- Maintain park facilities and perform light routine maintenance and janitorial services.
- Cut grass, weed flower beds, prune shrubs, rake leaves, and pick up litter.
- Operate mowers, weed eaters, trimmers, and other maintenance tools.
- Provide visitor information and answer phone calls.
- Register campers, collect and sort revenue.
- Collect garbage and perform litter control.
- Clean restrooms and restock supplies.
- Clean rental properties and perform general housekeeping.
- Operate light trucks for supplies transport and garbage hauling.
- Minimum age 17.
- Valid unrestricted driver’s license (out‑of‑state drivers must provide proof).
- Bilingual skills (Spanish preferred).
- Learn and interpret park rules, history, and educationally engage visitors.
- Manage multiple projects with organization, communication, and timely quality completion.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and small equipment.
- Perform general maintenance and janitorial services, including chemical use.
- Conduct physical labor for extended periods and work in all weather conditions.
- Work Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.
All non‑permanent Park Aides wear a uniform: two shirts, one baseball cap, and a 75 yearly clothing stipend (may increase to 150 for longer positions).
