BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT CONSULTANT
Position SummaryA full sale cycle position responsible for new business acquisition in the healthcare industry within a multi-state territory. The role generates new logos annually by building relationships with prospective clients, qualifying opportunities through discovery calls, and selling Coffey services that meet healthcare marketing needs. The consultant represents Coffey Communications with professionalism and the highest level of ethics.
Essential Job Functions- Nourish a full sale cycle from start to finish and hand accounts off to the production team.
- Establish relationships with new prospects through cold calling, emails, social selling, attending conferences, and responding to inbound leads.
- Continuously prospect to build a full pipeline each year and review the pipeline to help forecast sales with leadership.
- Secure contracts to meet quarterly and annual minimum sales goals.
- Track sales activity in Coffey’s CRM, including logging call notes, emails, completing activities, and creating new tasks.
- Travel to prospects for meetings and presentations as requested or required.
- Develop proposals, respond to all prospect requests, and follow through on all aspects of the sales process.
- Engage current clients in the territory to identify cross‑selling opportunities and introduce new products and services, focusing on growth rather than retention.
- Attend national and state trade shows, assisting with setup, takedown, and shipment of trade exhibits.
- Inform management and marketing team of market opportunities and threats.
- Acquire and maintain product, procedural, and pricing knowledge; stay current with healthcare industry and market trends.
- Participate in opportunity win/loss activities.
- Gather information on competitors and attend relevant webinars, if applicable.

- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field, or equivalent education or experience.
- Marketing and/or agency experience selling to the healthcare industry.
- Minimum of three years of demonstrated business‑to‑business sales success in selling complex digital marketing solutions, with full sale cycle proficiency.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to engage with all levels in an organization during the sales process.
- High degree of integrity, motivation, and ability to influence and persuade prospects to achieve desired outcomes.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and negotiation skills to help provide tailored solutions.
- Ability to travel nationwide.
- Strong presentation, organization, and time‑management skills.
- Has energy, enthusiasm, and willingness to learn and contribute to the team’s success.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, CRM, and automation tools.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 lbs when constructing trade exhibits.

Compensation: $80,000 – $120,000 base + commission
