Juvenile Rehabilitation Specialist (JRS) – Snoqualmie

Salary: $66,372 – $87,048 Yearly (plus 5% premium for King County or 24/7 facility)

In this role, you will coordinate services within the Echo Glen Children’s Center therapeutic treatment model, specifically supporting Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). You will oversee mental health, YSO, religious services, and volunteer coordination, ensuring contractors fulfill their responsibilities.
Responsibilities- Perform intake and screening for new residents, completing legal intake assessments.
- Review case files and inform providers of required specialized treatments.
- Provide technical assistance to case managers regarding specialized populations.
- Participate in contractor and volunteer onboarding.
- Supervise contractors or volunteers during service delivery.
- Communicate with volunteers and contractors and respond to inquiries.
- Assist in evaluating needs for additional contractors and volunteers.
- Collect data throughout the year.
- Develop and maintain equipment, training materials, and visuals for the campus.
- Attend living unit staff meetings, communicate with staff, and provide resources.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience totaling six years, OR
- A Bachelor’s degree plus two years of professional experience in casework, counseling, probation, parole, social services, or related fields, OR
- One year as a Juvenile Rehabilitation Residential Counselor, Community Counselor, or JRC2, OR
- A Master’s degree in Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, or related field (substitutes for one year of experience).

- Ability to relate to clients from diverse backgrounds.
- Knowledge of group behavior dynamics and juvenile delinquency trends.
- Adolescent development and juvenile rehabilitation practices.
- Provision of cognitive/behavior therapeutic interventions.
- Basic juvenile correctional system knowledge and counseling techniques.
- Supervision and lead techniques.
- Report writing.
- Interviewing and crisis intervention skills with de-escalation.
